The first playlist of 2021 marked a huge turning point for this project. I was finally able to do this for me. This month saw a very big change to the project: this playlist features several songs I had already loved long before it came time to make this playlist and are on it because I kept wanting to listen to them when I was listing to this one. Originally, I tried to make these playlists composed almost entirely of songs I hadn’t heard before. This was the first one where I really broke that rule
